Diddy notches his best week yet on the three-and-a-half-year old Social 50 chart, as a teaser for his new video “I Want the Love” spurs a re-entry for the hip-hop mogul at No. 23.

The Social 50 incorporates the following metrics: weekly additions of fans across Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram; reactions and conversations across Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook; and views to an artist’s Wikipedia page, according to music analytics provider Next Big Sound.

The clip, featuring Diddy and Meek Mill clowning around in the Swiss alps, premiered via Diddy’s revolt.tv and Facebook’s proprietary player on June 2. Because the trailer wasn’t available outside of revolt.tv and Facebook, it increased chatter about Diddy on the Facebook platform, where he saw a 179 percent rise in engagement in the week ending June 8. That helped him gain 116,000 new fans to his audience on Facebook.

Diddy has only been on the Social 50 chart once before, on the list dated May 24 (at No. 37).  

Further up the list, 5 Seconds of Summer net their best placing yet, as they ascend 6-2. The band and its members are masters of social media, constantly sharing behind-the-scenes video snippets and tour journals through its platforms. During the charting week, two videos were posted from their participation in the Vevo lift program which drew a 49 percent in mentions on Twitter and a 58 percent increase in weekly visits to their Wikipedia page.

Demi Lovato ascends into the top 10, moving 15-5 after hyping her upcoming tour, which launches Sept. 6. On Instagram in particular, posts which featured photos counting down the days until tickets for the trek went on sale, helped Lovato receive a 129 percent rise in weekly reactions.

Chris Brown also re-enters the Social 50 at No. 42 after being released from prison on June 2 and posting his first pictures on Instagram since May. During the week, his girlfriend Karrueche Tran threw him welcome back party that was attended by Amber Rose, T-Pain and Big Sean. The online activity translates to a 337 percent increase in fans on Instagram and a 386 increase in fans on Twitter.

Back to the top 10, Justin Bieber remains at No. 1 while Miley Cyrus remains at No. 3. Ariana Grande falls 2-4, while Taylor Swift surges 13-6 following tour dates in Singapore and Tokyo. Nicki Minaj ascends 10-7, while Beyonce remains at No. 8. Iggy Azalea slips 5-9 and One Direction dips 9-10 to anchor the region.
