EMI Music and Fairmont Hotel & Resorts have partnered to bring new music initiatives this fall to Fairmont's portfolio of North American hotels.

As part of the deal, such hotels as the Fairmont San Francisco, Toronto's Fairmont Royal York and Arizona's Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, will be infused with new guest experiences, including in-room music access and preferred entry to live music events.

The program will also provide hotel guests with pre-loaded digital music players, to be used while exercising. The digital players will contain hundreds of DRM-free tracks from EMI Music artists across the board. In addition, preferred customers through the Fairmont President's Club will have the ability to access EMI artists' music via CD or digital download.

The multi-phase music program will be initiated this fall beginning in Canada, with a global expansion scheduled for a later date.

The announcement follows a similar partnership between Sony BMG Entertainment Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, which finds Sony BMG developing uniquely branded music-and entertainment-based programming for hotels that fall under the Starwood banner.
