Six Flags Entertainment and Billboard.com are teaming up this summer with Starburst candy for a music promotion which will include a integrated push online, at live concerts and a national sweepstakes.

Starburst is the title sponsor of Six Flags’ summer concert series featuring artists such as Jordin Sparks, Pitbull, Iyaz, Vita Chambers and the Maine. The Starburst Summer Concert Series will produce 56 concerts at 8 Six Flags parks across the country and as part of a company-wide sponsorship.

Starburst is also the presenting sponsor of Billboard.com's “MashUp Mondays” on Billboard.com - a video series that features artists performing a song outside of their typical genre. This series, which kicked off in February, featured artists such as Sam Adams, Iyaz, Matisyahu, Jay Sean and Jason Derulo. Music fans can watch their favorite artists perform unexpected songs now through August at www.billboard.com/mashups.

Six Flags and Billboard.com are integrating both campaigns via the launch of a national sweepstakes, offering a grand prize for a 3-day/2-night VIP concert vacation to a Six Flags park, and a special meet and greet with a featured artist from “MashUp Mondays” and the Starburst Summer Concert Series. Additional prizes include free music downloads from Billboard.com and tickets to Six Flags. The promotion runs from June 18 thru July 18.

Both Six Flags and Billboard.com will support the Starburst initiative with an extensive promotional campaign on their respective web and social media sites, including Facebook, MySpace and Twitter.

In addition, Six Flags will promote the sweepstakes with in-park media, ranging from Six Flags’ newly-launched digital out-of-home (DOOH) network to billboards and scrolling signage. The DOOH Network includes Menu Board TV, a new digital offering from Six Flags Media Networks in key food service locations at the parks, as well as Six Flags Television Network, a system of 550-plus monitors at rides and in other strategic park locations.
