Chino y Nacho, the Venezuelan urban and tropical act, are partnering with McDonald's in a campaign that will have the entertainers tied to the popular Happy Meal with their images and a chance to hang with the duo.
The Happy Meal campaign, "Chino y Nacho only for you at McDonald's," will include a raffle ticket giving fans an opportunity to compete for a chance to spend time with the entertainers in a private party at McDonald's. A total of 20 fans will be selected. The campaign began Feb. 2 and ends March 21.
The Latin Grammy-winning duo has had four top 40 hits on the Latin songs chart, with "Niña Bonita" at No. 1. Their album "Mi Niña Bonita" was No. 4 on Latin albums with 75,000 sold, and their most recent CD release, "Supremo," was No. 1 with 17,000 sold to date, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Chino y Nacho were recently nominated for a Premio Lo Nuestro for best tropical group or duo. The awards show will air live Feb. 16 on the Univision Network. They also recently filmed the music video for "Bebe Bonita," featuring pop artist Jay Sean, a Cash Money recording artist. Singer/songwriter Akon appears in the video.
"This is our second year promoting these types of activities," McDonald's marketing director Isabel Sansone said in a prepared statement. "It pleases us to bring the public closer to singers with a career track like Chino y Nacho."
