STREAMING MADE UP ONE-FIFTH OF U.S. RECORDED MUSIC REVENUE IN 2013

Streaming music revenue in the U.S. grew 39% in 2013, generating $1.4 billion in revenue and making up more than one-fifth of the recorded music industry's business, up from just 15% in 2012, according to figures released Tuesday by the Recording Industry Association of America.

UBC Media confirmed today the signing of a heads of term for the acquisition of 7digital, which would result in a reverse takeover if consummated. In doing so, the agreement would create a combined company offering the digital music delivery and audio content production services both provided separately. PANDORA RAISES PRICE OF AD-FREE SERVICE

Existing PandoraOne subscribers will continue to pay $3.99 a month, the company said on its blog. Pandora is also doing away with its annual subscription option, which cost $39 a year for ad-free listening. Existing annual subscribers will be asked to pay $3.99 a month when their annual period is over.
