Six employees lost their jobs yesterday in a restructuring of the promotion and marketing departments at Universal Music Group in Nashville.

VP of international marketing Sarah Brosmer, who had been with MCA for 17 years, has exited, along with Derek Simon, VP of marketing for MCA/Lost Highway; Chad Schultz, senior director of Southwest promotion for Mercury; Charlie Dean, director of regional promotion, Midwest, for MCA; Anne Howard, tour coordinator for MCA; and Brian Thiele, promotion coordinator for Lost Highway.

A source tells Bulletin the cuts were made to better allocate resources, and adds that UMG Nashville plans to add A&R staffers in coming weeks.
