Grammy-winning producer Don Was has formed an L.A.-based TV and home-video production company, M101. Was' partners in the company include Arizona Diamondbacks owner Dale Jensen, former ABC executive Marilyn Wilson and film producer Bradley Yonover.

M101's first project is the high-definition TV series "Music Room." The show, which does not yet have a distributor, will be a tribute-concert series featuring a legendary artist performing with guests. The two-hour pilot, "Music 101: The Green Room," stars Al Green with Mary J. Blige, Hall & Oates and others. In addition to pursuing a TV deal for the show, M101 is seeking a distributor to issue it on DVD.
