Justin Timberlake and Lionel Richie will be the hosts of an upcoming ABC special with the working title "Motown 45."

Touted as two hours of live music, the program will feature current acts and Motown stars performing classic Motown songs. The show tapes April 4 at Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium; ABC will air it in May.

Executive producers for the special are Jeff Margolis and John Hamlin, the duo behind ABC's January 2003 special "The Disco Ball." On board as producer is former Motown A&R chief William "Mickey" Stevenson. Billboard's Fred Bronson will write the special.
