The Musicland Group has brought Laurie Clark on board as senior VP of marketing. Clark has been working as a consultant for the chain since it was acquired by Sun Capital Partners. The company has also promoted Aurora Toth to VP of marketing.

Clark previously held similar positions at the Wiz and, before that, Trans World Entertainment. At Musicland, she is responsible for emerging businesses and will oversee the marketing department. Clark is also responsible for brand development, design and production, customer loyalty, e-commerce, event marketing and affiliate marketing.

Clark's retail experience also includes stints at Staples Inc. and Waldenbooks. She reports to Musicland president Mike Madden.

Toth, previously director of consumer marketing, creative services and brand management for Musicland, has been with the chain since February 2002. Prior to that, she held positions at SuperValu Retail, The Toro Company and Procter & Gamble. Toth, who reports to Clark, will oversee all branding, promotional and advertising functions for the company's 1,000 stores.
