MusicMatch has entered into a cross-marketing agreement with The Coca-Cola Co. to promote its digital-music service through an alliance with Sprite, the beverage giant's lemon-lime soft drink.

Details of the partnership will be unveiled later this year.

Geoff Cottrill, director of music marketing for Coca-Cola North America, says that the promotion will include download giveaways as well as limited-time use of MusicMatch's premium service -- a subscription radio offering.

As part of the announcement, San Diego-based MusicMatch -- which claims more than 45 million registered users of its software worldwide -- disclosed that it is selling more than 1 million downloads per month through its á la carte download store.

The company also says it sold over a million copies of the premium version of its jukebox software last year, and now has over 170,000 paying customers for its Musicmatch MX subscription radio product.
