No Doubt and Blink-182 will team up for a coheadlining U.S. amphitheater tour beginning June 1 in Indianapolis. Dates run through June 26. Although most of the venues are operated by Clear Channel Entertainment, individual promoter deals were cut in each market by agents Mitch Okmin at the M.O.B. Agency (No Doubt) and Darryl Eaton at CAA (Blink).
Both bands released new albums last year. The summer dates will be worked around No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani's work on an Interscope solo record, and her role in the upcoming Martin Scorsese film "The Aviator."
"I was like, 'Gwen, can you give me three weeks?' " says Jim Guerinot, manager of No Doubt for Rebel Waltz. "I would have loved to have had a whole summer of this tour."
In 2002, Blink co-headlined with Green Day, grossing nearly $20 million from 45 shows. No Doubt grossed $9.6 million as a headliner from 47 shows in 2002.
