Lilith Fair -- urban style. That's the concept behind the upcoming U.S. tour by co-headliners Beyoncé, Missy Elliott and Alicia Keys. Dubbed the Verizon Triple Threat Tour, the arena trek -- first reported here on Jan. 21 -- will kick off March 12 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and will wrap April 18 in Oakland, Calif. Tamia will support.

"This is history in the making," Elliott said at a media gathering today (Feb. 5) at the Beverly Hills Hotel in L.A. "I've always wanted to do a Lilith Fair on the urban side."

"It's all about the ladies," added Beyoncé, who said she conceived the idea eight months ago and then contacted Elliott and Keys. "We're fans of each other."

The trio declined to reveal specifics about show order, special guests and staging. "We're all different women with different styles of music. The shows will be exciting just for that fact," said Keys.

All three are booked by Creative Artists Agency. The tour will be produced by Al Haymon Presents/Clear Channel Entertainment.
