Universal Music & Video Distribution (UMVD) officially launched its UMVD Visual Entertainment division today (Feb. 17). As previously reported, the division will acquire and distribute DVDs and video games from outside of Universal's pipeline.

UMVD Visual Entertainment's deal with Trinity Home Entertainment will include distribution of up to 300 budget-line films starting in late April.

Westlake Village, Calif.-based Trinity offers music bio videos on such acts as Ozzy Osbourne, Linkin Park, Nickelback and Incubus, and films such as "Tupac 4 Ever."
