Veteran Christian music executive Hugh Robertson is launching a new label, Waterfront Records, as a division of Waterfront Entertainment. The venture will focus on concept, compilation and value projects. Mainstream distribution is being handled by CBuJ Distribution.

Robertson was most recently GM of Squint Entertainment; he was previously senior VP of sales and marketing for Sparrow Records.

Other Waterfront staffers include product manager Josh Petersen and director of business affairs Stephanie Jackson.

Debut releases from Waterfront's value line are "Contemporary Classics," "Women Together in Worship," "Worship Alive" and "The Spirit of Worship."
