Veteran Southern country act the Marshall Tucker Band is set to release its first new album in five years -- "Beyond the Horizon" -- May 11 on Ramblin' Records, and will head out on a 21-date trek to support the disc.

The outing, which will focus on arenas, state fairs and theaters, runs sporadically from tomorrow (March 4) through Sept. 1. The band is booked by American Artists' Phil Heche and Trip Brown.

The current Marshall Tucker Band lineup features co-founder and lead singer Doug Gray, guitarist/vocalist Chris Hicks, bassist/vocalist Tony Heatherly, slide guitarist/vocalist Stuart Swanlund, drummer B.B. Borden and multi-instrumentalist David Muse. Founding member Toy Caldwell, who died in 1993, wrote two of the album's 11 originals.

Also on May 11, two of the act's re-mastered albums of the late 1970s, "Carolina Dreams" and "Together Forever," will be re-released with live bonus tracks by Ramblin' Records and Shout! Factory. The Marshall Tucker Band has churned out 20 studio albums since teaming up in 1973.
