Lost Highway artist Lucinda Williams has canceled her current tour dates due to the recent death of her mother. There is no word on whether the dates will be rescheduled.

Williams, who was on the road in support of her April 2003 album "World Without Tears," was scheduled to play four more shows starting tonight (March 9) in Nashville. The other canceled U.S. dates were in Columbus, St. Louis and Kansas City. She has also tentatively canceled Australian headlining shows April 10-22 and an appearance at the Doheny Heritage Music Festival on May 23 in Dana Point, Calif.
