A former employee of Handleman Co. has been charged with possession of stolen goods and embezzlement for allegedly trying to sell promotional copies of CDs.

A former employee of Handleman Co. has been charged with possession of stolen goods and embezzlement for allegedly trying to sell promotional copies of CDs.

As first reported in the Daily Oakland Press in Michigan, Jim James, who was a longtime buyer for the rackjobber, is facing two felony charges. Each charge involves product worth more than $20,000 and carries a 10-year sentence.

Before the case goes to trial, there will be a preliminary hearing in which prosecutors will have to show probable cause; no date has been set.
