Veteran Christian band NewSong has left Reunion Records and is planning to launch its own label. Founding member Eddie Carswell says the yet-to-be-named label will have a ministry focus.

Veteran Christian band NewSong has left Reunion Records and is planning to launch its own label. Founding member Eddie Carswell says the yet-to-be-named label will have a ministry focus.

NewSong has 13 albums to its credit and achieved a multi-format hit with "The Christmas Shoes," which spawned a book and a CBS-TV movie starring Rob Lowe.

In other NewSong news, the band just completed its ninth and most successful Winter Jam Tour, drawing more than 115,000 fans. In addition to NewSong, the tour included Audio Adrenaline, Relient K, Todd Agnew and newcomer Jadyn Maria.
