Sugar Ray's summer tour wil be chronicled for a new reality series on Spike TV, "On the Road."

Spike will film Sugar Ray's 18-market U.S. tour, which kicks off April 8 at the B.B. King Blues Club in New York. The show will air in six episodes; exact air dates are to be determined.

The gist of the show is that a group of Sugar Ray fans will compete as tour roadies, and the winner will land the opportunity to work at a major record label. The show is executive-produced by Rick de Oliveira, producer of MTV's "The Real World," "Road Rules" and "Making the Band."

Sugar Ray's tour is sponsored by auto maker Kia.
