Hershey Foods Corporation has struck a multi-year sponsorship pact with Mexican singer Thalía.

The partnership is designed to bolster Hershey's presence in the Hispanic marketplace. It includes sponsorship of Thalía's upcoming tour, which includes nine U.S. stops, a Spanish-language advertising campaign, consumer and retail promotions and a new co-branded line of Thalía Hershey products designed for the Latin market.

The Thalía-Hershey partnership was negotiated by Thalía's husband, former Sony Music Entertainment chief Thomas D. Mottola, who is closely involved in his wife's career. Thalía also has a clothing and accessory line with Kmart and this week will launch her own magazine, published by American Media.
