Dolly Parton will be given a living legend award by the Library of Congress tomorrow (April 14) in Washington, D.C. Parton will also perform at the ceremony, which will be taped for a May special on the Great American Country TV network. Previous recipients of the award include Johnny Cash, Ralph Stanley, Ray Charles, Steven Sondheim and Pete Seeger.

Reba McEntire, meanwhile, will be awarded the Johnny Cash Visionary Award during the CMT 2004 Flame Worthy Video Music Awards April 21 in Nashville. Past recipients of the award are the Dixie Chicks and Cash, and the award was renamed this year in Cash's honor.

The latter award recognizes an artist's "musical vision, innovative and groundbreaking music videos and pioneering initiatives in entertainment," according to CMT.
