Independent entertainment company expands marketing.
Independent entertainment company Razor & Tie has expanded its marketing division.
Don Spielvogel has joined the company as senior director of video. He oversees marketing and development. With more than 25 years of video production and marketing experience, Spielvogel was most recently GM/director of sales and marketing for QVC's Q Records and Q Video.
Former president of consulting firm Smarty-Pants Kevin O'Connor has joined as director of children's entertainment. He will handle the expansion of the popular Kidz Bop brand within media and consumer product-driven venues.
Additionally, the New York-based company has named Rachel Mintz as senior product manager. Previously director of marketing for WEA, Mintz is responsible for current and upcoming marketing campaigns for such projects as the Clarks, Golf For Dummies and Dar Williams.
The company has also promoted former product manager Sandi Hemmerlein to senior product manager, where she will handle marketing for Kidz Bop, the Irish Tenors, Prince Paul and the R&B compilation, "Tha Down Low."
O'Connor, Mintz and Hemmerlein report to GM Josh Zieman. Spielvogel reports to various executives.
