Equipment to translate movement into sound.

The Music Has Power Club Recording Studio is set to open at the Institute for Music and Neurologic Function, a research and training establishment at Beth Abraham Health Services, a nursing and rehabilitation center in the Bronx, N.Y.

Moby, who donated equipment to the studio, will participate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday (April 28). He joined the Institute's board in 2003, after visiting Beth Abraham and observing its work.

Equipment in the studio will include electronic drums and devices that translate movement into sound. Music and technology has been a part of Beth Abraham's Music Therapy Program since 1993.
