House of Blues Concerts has entered into an agreement with Paramount Parks, a unit of Viacom Inc., for HOB to book and promote concerts at Paramount theme-park amphitheaters.

These include the Paladium Amphitheatre in Charlotte, N.C., at Paramount's Carowinds; Kingswood Amphitheater in Doswell, Va. at Paramount's Kings Dominion; and TimberWolf Amphitheatre in Cincinnati at Paramount's Kings Island.

HOB VPs Jim Mallonee or Bob Shea will be the booking and promotions contacts for the Paladium and Kingswood sheds, while Shea, Anthony Nicolaidis, and executive VP Alex Hodges will handle the TimberWolf Amphitheatre.

In other news from the HOB camp, David Hart has been named senior VP of talent. Based in Los Angeles and reporting directly to Hodges, Hart will oversee booking for HiFi Buys Amphitheatre in Atlanta and Smirnoff Music Centre in Dallas, as well as other open promotions.

Hart is a seasoned veteran of the concert business, most recently with the Agency Group in New York, where, as a senior agent, he developed the agency's theatrical concert division.

Among Hart's other stops in a career of more than 30 years are stints with Bill Graham, latter-day Jersey promoter Monarch Entertainment, the Nederlander Organization, previous HOB incarnation MCA Concerts and tour producer Magicworks.
