Nashville-based MAD Booking & Events will book and produce a new McDonald's-sponsored concert series at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Md., this summer. The Saturday-night concerts, which will run July 17 through Sept. 4, will be called the McDonald's Sessions at Merriweather. This will be McDonald's first music-series sponsorship.

McDonald's Sessions at Merriweather will feature national bands, as well as multiple up-and-coming regional acts, from 6:00 to 11:00 p.m. at the popular outdoor 18,000 seat amphitheater. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the gate, both of which include parking. Already booked are Fuel for July 17 and Live for Aug. 14.

Merriweather is operated by I.M.P., the Washington, D.C.-based promoter that owns the 9:30 Club. Mad Booking & Events produces other concert series in Nashville (Dancin' in the District) and Atlanta (Aquafina on the Bricks).
