Cablevision System Corp., majority owner of Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall in New York City, has reorganized its management team, resulting in new responsibilities for Alan Gershowitz and Timothy Hassett.
Gershowitz, formerly executive VP, facilities and administration for Madison Square Garden has been named executive VP, Radio City Entertainment. Hassett, former senior VP/GM for Madison Square Garden, is now executive VP, facilities, MSG.
In his new role, Gershowitz will oversee all aspects of bookings and productions at Radio City Music Hall, Madison Square Garden and the Theater at Madison Square Garden.
As part of the reorganization, Joel Peresman, executive VP of the bookings division of Radio City Entertainment, will now report to 11-year Cablevision veteran Gershowitz, who will also continue to oversee MSG's human resources department.
In his new post, Hassett will be responsible for the management of all aspects of the Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall facilities, including building operations, food and merchandise, event operations, and box office operations. John Urban, senior VP/GM, Radio City Music Hall, will report to Hassett.
Hassett joined MSG in January 2004, when he was named senior VP/GM. Prior to that, Hassett served as senior VP/GM of Giants Stadium and Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, N.J., where he was responsible for all aspects of venue and event operations and was landlord liaison to sports tenants, event promoters, and all vendors.
