Elektra/Atlantic recording artist Jason Mraz will embark on a cross-country concert series dubbed the Tour of the Curbside Prophets, beginning May 14 at the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis.

The tour, inspired by Mraz's beginnings as a street musician, will feature the artist "busking" for the audience as a solo acoustic performer. Also on the bill are singer/guitarist Raúl Midón, Hawaiian slack-key guitarist/vocalist Makana, and DJ Bob Neck Snapp. All the players will perform individually as well as with each other.

Mraz is also hosting the 2004 "(Never) Too Much Food" Food Drive, which gives fans an opportunity to help their local community by donating non-perishable goods. Coordinated by Bill Silva Management and several volunteers in local areas, the food drive will be held throughout most of the tour.

The Tour of the Curbside Prophets will wrap June 20 at the Copley Symphony Hall in Mraz's adopted hometown of San Diego. Mraz is booked by Little Big Man.
