The Songwriters Hall of Fame will bestow its Abe Olman Award on Warner/Chappell chairman/CEO Les Bider at this year's gala dinner, set for June 10 at New York's Marriott Marquis hotel.

The honor is given each year to a music publisher whose stable of songs have garnered global recognition and whose work has furthered the careers of many songwriters. Past winners include Nicholas Firth, Martin Bandier, Berry Gordy and Ralph Peer.

Also at the dinner, the Songwriters Hall will give its Patron of the Arts Award to Michael Goldstein, chairman of the Toys 'R' Us Children's Fund, and its Sammy Cahn Lifetime Achievement Award to songwriter Neil Sedaka.

As previously reported, this year's inductees into the Songwriters Hall of Fame include Daryl Hall & John Oates, Al Green, Charles Fox, Don McLean, Barrett Strong and Norman Whitfield.
