House of Blues Entertainment has appointed two key executives to help spearhead aggressive growth plans following the completion of its $110 million recapitalization transaction.
Joe Kaczorowski, who has been the company's CFO since 1996, has been promoted to president and will be responsible for leading the company's expansion strategy, as well as continuing to head House of Blues' legal, finance, human resources and technology departments.
Additionally, Dolf Berle's role has been expanded from COO of venue operations to COO of HOB Entertainment. His responsibilities now include amphitheatre operations, in addition to his current club responsibilities.
Both execs will report to chairman/CEO Greg Trojan.
Executive VP Alex Hodges will continue to lead the company's talent-buying function, with senior VP Kevin Morrow directing the company's touring business and club-level buying and VP of marketing Jack Gannon overseeing field marketing and public relations.
The executive announcements come in the wake of high-profile defections from HOB, including former HOB Concerts president Jay Marciano, and former senior VP Larry Vallon, both now with rival promoter AEG Live.
House of Blues has recently entered into several strategic booking alliances; including pacts with San Antonio's Sunset Station, Philadelphia's Trocadero, and Paramount Parks Amphitheatres; extending the reach of the brand into new markets. New clubs in Cleveland and San Diego are under construction.
