Apple Computer's iTunes Music Store and Internet radio network Live365 were among the winners at the eighth annual Webby Awards, held online Wednesday (May 12).

In the Music category, iTunes (www.apple.com/itunes/store) was awarded both a Webby and the People's Voice Award. The latter, given away in each category, is determined by votes from the online community.

KEXP Radio Online (www.kexp.org) was awarded a Webby in the radio category, while Live365 won the People's Voice Award. Nominees included Public Radio Exchange (www.prx.org), PublicRadioFan (www.publicradiofan.com) and WTOP Radio (www.wtopnews.com).

Nominees in the music category included Live365 (www.live365.com), BeatPort (www.beatport.com), Bleep (www.bleep.com) and musicplasma (www.musicplasma.com).

The Webby Awards are presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, a global organization with members including musicians Beck and David Bowie, Real Networks CEO Rob Glaser and "Simpsons" creator Matt Groening.
