McDonald's will be placing DVD rental machines at more than 100 of its locations in Denver starting this summer.

The ATM-size machines, provided by DVDPlay, will offer DVD rentals for $1 per night, without late fees or membership charges. Each machine will hold between 100 and 350 DVDs, including the top-30 DVD hits.

Users can use credit or debit cards to rent from the DVDPlay kiosks. The machines will not accept cash. DVD returns will be accepted at any Denver McDonald's location, regardless of where the disc was initially vended.

If a consumer racks up charges of $25 for a single title, they can keep the disc.

The program is expected to expand to other domestic markets depending on its success over the summer.
