Welk Music Group, parent company of Vanguard Records and Sugar Hill Records, has upped several staffers to new positions.

Kim Fowler has been promoted from director to VP of artist and media relations for the Durham, N.C.-based Sugar Hill Records. Fowler, who is based in Nashville, reports to Sugar Hill GM Bev Paul.

Mary Mahn is upped from promotion coordinator to promotion manager for the Santa Monica, Calif.-based Vanguard. She reports to Vanguard senior VP of promotions Art Phillips.

Steven Brower is promoted from sales and marketing assistant to sales and marketing manager, A&R development for Vanguard. Brower reports to Dan Sell, senior VP of sales and marketing for Welk.

Holly Lowman is promoted from local/regional promotions coordinator to marketing manager for Sugar Hill, reporting to Paul.

Finally, Alma Vergara is upped to senior royalty accountant at Welk Music Group in Santa Monica. Vergara reports to company controller Carrie London.
