Next event slated for October 2005.

Gospel/Christian music distributor Central South Distribution (CSD) has postponed this year's Retail Conference, which had been scheduled for Oct. 6-9. The next confab willl be in October 2005.

The decision to nix this year's event came after director of distribution Roderick Jemison exited CSD to take the post of director or urban marketing at Word Records. During his four years at CSD, Roderick created the annual Retail Conference to educate retailers and label executives on issues about selling, radio and marketing.

CSD president Chuck Adams says the company plans to work closely with Roderick to coordinate the 2005 conference.
