Digital service eMusic says it will launch its first download kiosk Monday (June 28) at Maxwell's in Hoboken, N.J.

The first download offered will be from a concert by Yep Roc act Southern Culture On The Skids. Those attending the June 28 performance will be able to purchase a recording of the show as a download through a kiosk installed at the venue. Tracks can be transferred to USB 2.0 pen drives.

Consumers using the kiosk can also initiate a free trial subscription to the eMusic subscription service. Those registering for the trial subscription can download the show at no charge.

The company says it plans to roll the kiosks out in other independent music venues in its eMusicLive (formerly Digital Club Network) network of clubs and concert halls.

Concert downloads cost $10; those who do not own pen drives can purchase them at the venue for $20.
