Deal includes James Brown material.

British independent music publisher Kobalt Music Group has signed an administration agreement for the world outside the United States with new Stateside publishing company Intrigue Music.

Intrigue's debut signing is James Brown. The agreement covers two catalog albums of Brown material, including the song "I'm Real," as well as new compositions.

Intrigue was founded by Brown manager SuperFrank, who serves as company president. He says, "Kobalt Music Group offered everything we were looking for in an administration partner. We needed fast accounting, efficiency and transparency all of which Kobalt provide to a very high standard."

Brown is currently touring in Britain as a special guest for the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Last week, he received a lifetime achievement award at the Mojo Awards.
