Guatauba Productions, a Puerto Rico-based production company specializing in urban Latin music, has signed a multi-year licensing deal with EMI Music U.S. Latin.

Under the agreement, EMI will distribute Guatauba's product and will help with marketing in the United States and Puerto Rico. The first release under the deal is the compilation "Sazón con Flavor," due June 29.

Past Guatauba releases include the reggaetón and Latin hip-hop compilations "Cartel del Yankee" and "Guatauba Vol. 1." The label has no individual acts on its roster, but says it aims to sign some in the future.

Guatauba also has offices in Miami.

This is EMI's first licensing deal with a production company that deals exclusively with reggaetón and urban music.
