Australia's Association of Independent Record Labels (AIR) is to relocate next month from Sydney to Brisbane, the capital of the state of Queensland. The decision to relocate follows the recent appointment of Stuart Watters as the trade body's new executive officer.

Watters was named to the post following a five-year stint as executive officer at Brisbane-based government-funded music body QMusic. Among AIR's priorities going forward is to develop more global networks for its members going forward, he says. Watters replaces Julie Owens who is going into politics.
