Sources say a series of "swing state" concerts are being planned for October in support of Senator John Kerry's Presidential campaign. Among the artists believed to be participating are Bruce Springsteen, Dave Matthews Band, Dixie Chicks, Pearl Jam and John Mellencamp.

Tickets could go on sale as soon as the second week in August.

Entertainment attorney Elliott Groffman is involved in the effort, which will include several seperate concerts at different venues in battleground states, and could also include a mega-show with several artists.
