Christopher Pope has returned to Decca Music Group (DMG) in the role as VP of A&R, with effect from September 20.

Christopher Pope has returned to Decca Music Group (DMG) in the role as VP of A&R, with effect from September 20.

In his new role, Pope will oversee the classical music recording program of both the Decca and Philips labels, reporting to DMG president Costa Pilavachi. Pope is tasked with guiding the artistic development of all the core classical artists on both labels.

Pope was a key member of the Decca production team from 1990-1998. He has been a management consultant since 2000, first at McKinsey & Company Inc. and latterly as an independent.
