Washington, D.C.-based audiophile label Telarc has discontinued distribution of PentaTone Classics.

"It was a decision we made together," a Telarc spokesperson tells Billboard.biz. "A lot of the repertoire was starting to double up."

PentaTone's new distributor, Forte Distribution, will accept 100% returns on previously distributed PentaTone product, the statement adds. Telarc will also accept 100% returns through the end of the year.

PentaTone Classics releases classical recordings in the hybrid Super Audio CD format, featuring standard 2-channel and multichannel mixes.
