Andy Bradley, chief engineer of Houston-based SugarHill Recording Studios, is offering a course this month and in November called "The Sights, Sounds & Stories from SugarHill Recording Studios."

The course, offered through Houston-based adult education center Leisure Learning Unlimited, is aimed at providing insight into the studio's 60-year history and the process of music production. It will include a listening party, studio tour and discussion.

SugarHill has hosted legendary artists including Lightnin' Hopkins, Freddy Fender, the Rolling Stones and Todd Rundgren. More recently, the studio has recorded contemporary artists such as Destiny's Child, Smashmouth, Clay Walker and Jermaine Dupri.

Bradley, who is overseeing a written and recorded biography chronicling SugarHill Studios' history, has worked as a roadie, tour manager, recording engineer and producer for 30 years.
