Lenny Kravitz's appearance last night (Aug. 9) on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" inaugurated a new partnership between the show and the Sony Connect download service, whereby live performances from the show will be available for digital download hours later exclusively via Connect.

Kravitz's "California" and "Are You Gonna Go My Way?" are the first tracks available to download.

Kimmel's show will present upward of 20 music performances before year's end on Los Angeles' new outdoor venue the Walkman Stage, including Incubus and Houston. Tracks from those concerts will also be available on Connect and ABC.com for 99 cents each.

"Our relationship will enable music fans to purchase music that was previously unavailable, as well as exclusive live tracks that have never been aired," says Connect GM Jay Samit. "Most acts perform multiple tracks for the live studio audience that are not included in the live broadcast of the show. These tracks will also be available exclusively at Connect.com."

"This is especially great for viewers who love the music, but dislike me," says Kimmel.
