Brooklyn, N.Y.-based rock band the National has signed a worldwide deal with Beggars Banquet. The label will release the band's third full-length in spring 2005.

The National released its self-titled debut and the 2003 set "Sad Songs for Dirty Lovers" on Brassland Records in the United States. The band plans to tour extensively behind the new release, including an Oct. 3 date at New York's Bowery Ballroom with the Black Keys.
