Brooks & Dunn to host Nov. 9 show.

With seven mentions, Alan Jackson is the top nominee for the 38th annual CMA Awards, set for Nov. 9 at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. Toby Keith also scored big, with six nominations, while Kenny Chesney, Alison Krauss and newcomer Gretchen Wilson have five each.

Jackson's nods include entertainer of the year, male vocalist of the year and single and song of the year for "Remember When."

Keith's nominations include entertainer and male vocalist of the year, single of the year for "I Love This Bar" and album of the year for "Shock'N Y'All" (DreamWorks).

Others nominated for entertainer of the year are Brooks & Dunn, Chesney, and Tim McGraw.
In addition to Jackson and Keith, nominees for male vocalist of the year are Chesney, George Strait and Keith Urban. Nominess for female vocalist of the year are Krauss, Terri Clark, Sara Evans, Martina McBride and Reba McEntire.

Brooks & Dunn will host the awards show, which will be broadcast live on CBS, taking over those duties from Vince Gill, who has hosted the CMAs for the last 12 years.
