November PBS special to feature top acts.

George Jones will be the subject of an all-star tribute to air Nov. 25 on PBS.

Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney, Harry Connick Jr., Aaron Neville, Martina McBride and Wynonna are among the artists scheduled to perform at two separate concerts, to be taped Sept. 8 and Sept. 15 at the Roy Acuff Theatre in Nashville. The TV special will consist of footage from both concerts.

Other performers will include Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Merle Haggard, Lorrie Morgan, Sammy Kershaw, Uncle Kracker, Emmylou Harris, Shelby Lynne, Kris Kristofferson, Tanya Tucker, Connie Smith, Joe Diffie and Trick Pony.

In other TV news, CMT will air the two-hour special "The Outlaws Concert" on Oct. 29. Gretchen Wilson, Big & Rich, Kid Rock, Hank Williams Jr. and Metallica's James Hetfield are among those set to perform at the event, which will be taped Sept. 7 at the former Tennessee State Prison in Nashville. The aforementioned Tucker, Montgomery Gentry and Jessi Colter are also on the bill.
