Damon Dash is in negotiations to sell his Roc-A-Fella Records imprint to Island Def Jam, sources say. Details of the deal were not available; a Def Jam spokesperson had no comment.

The roster of Def Jam-distributed Roc-A-Fella includes Kanye West, Beanie Sigel and Young Gunz. The label also served as home to Jay-Z prior to his recent retirement.

Launched in 1995, Roc-A-Fella Records was the building block of Dash's Roc-A-Fella Enterprises. Founded and headed by co-CEOs Dash, Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter and Kareem "Biggs" Burke, Roc-A-Fella Enterprises also comprises Rocawear, State Property, Team Roc, Roc-A-Fella Films, Roc Music, Dash Films, America Magazine, Tiret Watches and Armadale Vodka.
