Kira Florita has been named executive director of the Nashville-based Leadership Music organization, effective today (Sept. 7).

Kira Florita has been named executive director of the Nashville-based Leadership Music organization, effective today (Sept. 7).

She succeeds Tabitha Daly, who recently stepped down. Florita most recently was director of special projects for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and previously was VP of marketing for Lost Highway Records. She is co-author of the book "Hank Williams: Snapshots of the Lost Highway," published in 2001, and won a Grammy Award in 1999 for co-producing the 10-CD boxed set "The Complete Hank Williams."

Florita reports to the Leadership Music board of directors.
