Slayer will headline the fall Jagermeister tour, which begins Oct. 29 at the Shrine Mosque in Springfield, Mo., and wraps Dec. 17 at Universal Amphitheatre in Universal City, Calif. Slayer previously headlined the fall 2003 Jager tour.

Also on the bill this fall are Killswitch Engage and Mastodon, as well as one more Jagermeister-sponsored band in each market.

This is the fourth year for the tour, which is credited with helping the brand more than double sales in the U.S. Each show offers numerous giveaways from Jagermeister and such show sponsors as Schecter Guitars, Peavey Electronics, Coffin Case and Meinl Cymbals.

Produced by Clear Channel Entertainment, this year's tour plays larger venues and includes 39 dates. Rich Levy, VP of booking/national sales and marketing, oversees the tour for CCE, working with Rick Zeiler, director of marketing and brand development for Sidney Frank Import, U.S. distributor of Jagermeister.

The spring Jager tour featured Slipknot, Fear Factory and Chimaira. The brand works with more than 100 bands. Jagermeister sales are up more than 50% this year, Zeiler says, with more than 1 million cases sold in 2003.
