Capitol Records has set a Nov. 2 release date for a remixed/remastered version of John Lennon's "Rock 'n' Roll" album, as well as an acoustic compilation featuring seven previously unreleased tracks by the former Beatle.

"Rock 'n' Roll," originally released in 1975, comprises covers of '50s songs by the likes of Chuck Berry, Gene Vincent, Little Richard and Buddy Holly. The updated version includes four outtakes from the album sessions; two of these were previously issued on the posthumous compilation "Menlove Avenue."

"John Lennon Acoustic" features 17 tracks, including official album versions ("Working Class Hero," "Love"), live tracks ("Luck of the Irish," "John Sinclair") and previously unreleased outtakes ("Dear Yoko," "Real Love").
