Under terms of the agreement, MSN will offer six exclusive tracks from each year's festival going forward, along with six to 12 exclusive archival tracks from the past 46 years. The exclusivity period for each track will be 12 months.

The first six tracks will be from this year's festival, which took place Sept. 17-19, and will consist of two tracks each from Blue Note artists the Don Byron Ivey-Divey Trio, the Terence Blanchard Sextet and the Bill Charlap Trio. The tracks costs 99 cents each and will be available for purchase starting in October at beta.music.msn.com.

A dozen more tracks from the Monterey Jazz Festival archives will be available over the coming year.

Tim Jackson, GM of the festival, will select all the tracks.
